Screener (MC)

The Screener (MC) is the centralized dashboard for the Momentum Concepts ecosystem. It aggregates complex momentum, volume, and liquidity data into a single, real-time table.

Instead of analyzing individual charts for Price Volume Swings, Hidden Liquidity Flow, or Scalper's Momentum, this screener allows you to monitor up to 18 assets simultaneously to spot momentum bursts, divergences, and liquidity anomalies at a glance.

Dashboard Overview

The screener is organized into columns that represent specific components of the AlgoAlpha Momentum Concepts suite.

Column Breakdown

  1. Asset

    • The symbol ticker (e.g., BTCUSDT, NVDA, Gold).

    • Note: You can configure these 18 symbols in the settings to match your personal watchlist.

  2. Fast Oscillator Trend

    • Displays the current directional bias of the chosen Fast Oscillator (e.g., Price Volume Swings).

    • ▲ (Green): Oscillator is above its signal line/trend baseline.

    • ▼ (Red): Oscillator is below its signal line/trend baseline.

  3. Fast Oscillator Valuation

    • Indicates if the asset is in an extreme statistical zone.

    • OB (Overbought): Price extension to the upside.

    • OS (Oversold): Price extension to the downside.

    • Neutral: Price is moving within standard bounds.

  4. Scalper's Momentum

    • A high-sensitivity momentum engine designed to catch immediate trend shifts.

    • Strong ▲/▼: Momentum is increasing in the direction of the trend.

    • Weak ▲/▼: Momentum is still directional but is beginning to fade or decelerate.

  5. Momentum Impulse

    • Based on the Momentum Impulse Oscillator (MIO).

    • ▲ / ▼: Indicates the current impulse direction.

    • Highlighted Background: If the cell is brighter, it indicates a "Trend Impulse Threshold" breach, suggesting a high-volatility breakout move is occurring.

  6. Hidden Liquidity Flow (HLF)

    • Tracks the flow of liquidity relative to price action.

    • ▲ / ▼: Direction of the liquidity flow.

    • Background Color:

      • Purple (Release): Indicates Excess Liquidity Release.

      • Pink (Squeeze): Indicates Excess Liquidity Squeeze.

  7. Dim. Momentum (Diminishing Momentum)

    • A warning system for trend exhaustion.

    • ● (Dot): A "Diminishing Momentum" signal has been detected. This often appears near local tops or bottoms before a reversal occurs.

  8. Divergence

    • Checks for discrepancies between price action and the Fast Oscillator.

    • Div▲: Bullish Divergence (Price makes Lower Low, Oscillator makes Higher Low).

    • Div▼: Bearish Divergence (Price makes Higher High, Oscillator makes Lower High).

  9. Reversal

    • Specific entry signals generated when the oscillator crosses its signal line while inside an Overbought or Oversold zone.

    • Rev▲ / Rev▼: Confirmed reversal signal.

Settings & Configuration

The Screener (MC) is highly modular. You can choose which underlying algorithms drive the data.

Watchlist

The screener accepts up to 18 symbols. By default, these are grouped into:

  • Crypto: (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, ADA, DOGE)

  • Stocks: (AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, TSLA, AMZN, GOOGL, META, PLTR, V, WMT)

  • Metals: (Gold, Silver)

Fast Oscillator Settings

This is the engine driving the Trend, Valuation, Divergence, and Reversal columns. You can select the specific algorithm that fits your trading style:

  • Fast Oscillator Type:

    • 🔱 Price Volume Swings: The standard Momentum Concepts oscillator.

    • ⚜️ Price Volume Waves: A smoother variant emphasizing volume flow.

    • 🌊 Alpha Wave: A highly reactive, low-lag oscillator.

    • 🐲 Dragon RSI: A volatility-adjusted RSI variant.

  • Trend Identification Method: Choose how the trend baseline is calculated (e.g., Relative to Previous Value, EMA, SMA, Heikin Ashi).

  • Reversal Zones: Define the Overbought (default 100) and Oversold (default 80) thresholds.

Component Toggles

You can enable or disable specific sections to clean up the table:

  • Scalper's Momentum: Toggles the "Strong/Weak" momentum column.

  • Momentum Impulse Oscillator: Toggles the "Impulse" column.

  • Hidden Liquidity Flow: Toggles the HLF column.

  • Fast Oscillator Signals: Toggles Diminishing Momentum, Reversal Signals, and Divergences.

Appearance

  • Colors: Customize the Bullish (Green), Bearish (Red), and Neutral (Gray) colors used for cell backgrounds and text.

  • Table Size & Position: Adjust the scale and location of the dashboard on your chart.

How to Use

1. The Momentum Confluence

The strongest signals occur when multiple momentum engines align.

  • Look for a row where Fast Trend, Scalper's Momentum, and Hidden Liquidity Flow all show the same direction (e.g., all ).

  • This indicates that price, volume, and liquidity are all pushing in the same direction.

2. Identifying Reversals

  • Scan the Valuation column for "OB" (Overbought) or "OS" (Oversold).

  • Wait for a "Rev▲/▼" signal in the Reversal column or a "Div▲/▼" in the Divergence column.

  • Confirmation: Ideally, wait for the Scalper's Momentum to flip direction (e.g., from Strong▼ to Weak▼ or Strong▲) to confirm the turn.

3. Spotting Exhaustion

  • If you are in a long trade and the dashboard shows a ● (Dot) in the Dim. Momentum column, it indicates that the driving force behind the move is fading. This is often a good place to take partial profits or tighten stop-losses.

4. Breakout Detection

  • Monitor the Momentum Impulse column. If the cell lights up with a brighter background color, it indicates the trend has breached the "Trend Impulse Threshold." This signifies a high-volatility expansion phase, often associated with strong breakouts.
